v&a sacred silver

We recently took a trip to the V&A museum, with the mission of searching for beautifully decorative spoons. Prior to the V&A we felt that the paper was extremely important however when we stumbled upon the sacred silver and stained glass glass section this quickly changed. We found the decretive elements incredibly striking and really captured the intricute details from paper cutting. From here we came up with one idea to focus on being a shrine to the spoon in the style of the above objects. For example we would design something such as the first image but with a spoon or even the hand holding the spoon. We felt that this directions would be appropiate as it is about my favourite spoon and not just spoons in general. Likewise it is about the delicate nature of paper cutting and not the actual paper itself. We felt that after only a short while within the V&A we were already pushing our project in a more defined direction.
