first individual presentation

We were given the brief to create a presentation under the theme of "What I'm nuts about". I though a lot about what to talk about, about what I was passionate about that was interesting. However I came to realise its the mundane things in life that really matter to us and we'd be lost without them. I started to think about things I did everyday or something that I used everyday without fail.

I decided to do my presentation on my favourite spoon. Some people have a favourite mug but I am rather obsessed with the particular spoon in the middle above. It's the only one of this type of spoon in my house, in fact I have no idea where it came from! When you compare it to the others its more streamline and feels better to hold to the point where I can't use any other spoon. There is a panic when I cannot find the spoon for example today I caught my dad using my spoon and their was genuine shock of disbelief. Although I have no idea when this obsession started I simply couldn't imagine using another spoon to eat with ever again.

I decided to make the brave decision of opting to present first. I figured that since I get so nervous in the build up to presenting that it would be best to get it out the way as quickly as possible. Although I was still scared throughout my presentation, I was able to completely relax afterwards and enjoy the day so much more than I thought.
