I wasn't sure what to expect about experiencing letterpress for the first time however it was one of my favourite workshops! We spent the day designing a phrase for a draw from a certain cabinet, which would hopefully become printed. I had three different fonts within my draw, all which had to be featured along with a set of numbers randomly thrown in. Although I don't have a picture of my final print, it reads "Join a queue of 89020198102 alphabets" I wanted to incorporate a large quantity of the numbers which I believe I have achieved as well as showing the decorative qualities of the letter Q. I found it difficult with only a small selection of characters within two of the fonts therefore mixing the fonts within the bottom line. Overall the day was a great experience, something which I was lucky to participate in as we do not have these facilities at uni.
